Garden tool price watch: how to spot a genuinely good deal
A practical buying guide for mowers, hedge cutters, blowers, batteries and everyday garden kit.

Compare the whole package
A cheap bare tool can be poor value if you still need a battery, charger, harness, blade or attachment. Compare the usable kit rather than the headline price.
Check platform compatibility
Battery systems become better value when several tools share the same batteries. For petrol equipment, parts availability and dealer support can matter more than saving a small amount upfront.
Look beyond discount percentages
Compare the actual selling price, warranty, included accessories and whether the model is current or being cleared because it has been replaced.
KS tip: The best deal is the tool you will still be happy using after a full day’s work, not simply the cheapest one on the shelf.
Sources & further reading: Manufacturer specifications should always be checked against the exact model before buying.
