LAWNS
Seed, feed or weed? What should your lawn get first?
A straightforward order of work for thin, hungry or weedy lawns.

If the lawn is bare or thin
Prioritise improving the surface and reseeding suitable patches. Seed needs contact with soil and reliable moisture to establish.
If growth is weak but coverage is good
A suitable seasonal feed may help, particularly if the grass is pale and growing poorly. Avoid pushing lush soft growth with high-nitrogen summer feed late in the season.
If weeds dominate
First ask why the grass is weak. Compaction, shade, scalping and poor drainage can all create space for weeds. Strengthening the lawn often reduces future weed pressure.
KS tip: Do not throw seed, feed and weed treatment at the lawn on the same day without checking product compatibility and timing.
